Seriously…

So, this is the part I hate.  I’ve never been a “rules” person, but as a business owner, I have to set some.   I’ll make them quick and as painless as possible.

-  I have kids of my own. So, if I book a session, I usually have to book a sitter, as well.  This means that I have a certain amount of time to get the job done.  I’ll just jump to the point.  Sessions only last one hour.  If you are late for your session, I still have to finish the session at the time I had planned on finishing.  So, if you know you’ll be late, just let me know at least a few hours in advance and I’ll see about rearranging my schedule to better serve you.

-  I absolutely require Portrait Package fees at the time of booking.  Your session date is not actually your’s until you have paid for it.

-  Take note of my contact hours on the Contact page.  You can call me outside of those hours, but do understand that you won’t get a response until contact hours resume.  It’s a hard line to draw, but, in this business, it’s easy to let my work take over my entire life.  This is my job and I LOVE what I do, but it’s not my entire being.  I have children that also need me.  They need phone-free time from their mother.  If you have kids, I know you understand.  :)

-  In order to avoid an additional Rush Fee, any custom press design requests must be received two weeks prior to the date you need the product in your hands.  A little bit of cushion time is needed for design, printing and delivery.  Any Rush Orders will require a 100% price increase.  This is not my rule.  It is my print shop’s policy.

-  I am not responsible for any typos or mistakes in any press product that has been approved by you prior to printing. Be sure to look over your proof  VERY, VERY CAREFULLY.  I am human.  Sometimes, I don’t type the correct information and I overlook my own mistakes. This is the very reason you get to view a proof of the publication prior to sending it to press.  I’m always happy to make any changes or corrections to your custom designed publication, but I cannot absorb the cost of re-printing your product because of an overlooked mistake during the proofing stage.  I do promise, however, that I will do my very best to get the information correct the first time.  I want nothing more than a satisfied client.

-  Once your print products have arrived, I will contact you to let you know they are ready for pick-up.  I do not deliver print orders.   If you would like me to mail them to you, I will absolutely do that.  There is a $25 fee for mail delivery.

Whew…now we can just have fun!

Hello Erica,
Love your work and your subjects! I used to be your old guidance counselor and I am also Whitney’s mom and Mali’s grandmother. Let me know when I can order pictures. You did a fantastic job capturing their personalities. You are the best photographer I’ve ever seen and your girls are precious!
Thank you.
